Chocolate Roses

This cake was made for a dear friend as a belated birthday cake. I wanted to make Jacobi something elegant and beautiful to celebrate her special day. Although there are plenty of things I would do different next time I'm pretty happy with the results, especially since it was my first time using modeling chocolate and ganache. I am totally in love with these chocolate ribbon flowers. Not only were they fun to make but they tasted delicious. This cake was white chocolate sour cream cake with cookies and cream filling. It was covered in cream cheese frosting with a thin layer of chocolate ganache. The bow, ribbon, and border were made with modeling chocolate.
